Folks, the NBA season starts tonight with an absolute bang at 7:30 EST! I’d like to start by saying thank you to everyone who has supported me and all of us at Premium Hoops over the past year and a half. This has been a labor of love and passion and I’ve really grown through this as a writer and basketball thinker due to the feedback I’ve received from you all.

I would also like to extend an apology to all of my friends and family, as I’m about to be extremely encapsulated by all the ins and outs of the NBA for the next half of a year. I love this game so freakin much, I love covering it, I love talking about it and finding stories and trends to shed more light upon. I’m lucky to do what I do and I really feel that I’m starting to hit my stride and have a lot of plans and ideas for the coming year that I can’t wait to publicly share!

Enough about me. I am so so so excited for this season basketball-wise. This feels like the most odd season in terms of questions and uncertainty I’ve had about this many teams in some time. And I love that. I want to absorb as much film and interviews and thoughts as possible so I can assemble a better idea of the league hierarchy. I initially was going to write a good deal on each team and explain my thoughts, but a. I already have spent an hour plus podcasting on every team leading into the year (a few more to round out) b. that’s a lot of writing for you to get through, I was at 7k words after 5 teams, so I decided to keep it strictly with my seeding ranges and depth charts. I’ve met so many fantastic and wonderful people in my time doing this, so I’m going to instead highlight the people you may not know or follow, along with some phenomenal team related and NBA centric pods.

I’ve hit on just about every team (nearly finished!) on the Premium Hoops Pod. My thoughts and musings on each team, why I feel the way I do in my analysis, and what I’m most interested in from that team and the players comprise those pods and I’d love your thoughts/feedback on them! I do my best to be as nuanced as possible, fair, and take this extremely seriously. This has been a massive labor of love and I’m psyched to share it one one concrete package with you.
